Dr. Zoltek is now accepting new private piano students!
Greetings from the beautiful Bay Area!
While the performing arts world has been forced to take a break from the stage due to Covid-19, it has been my great pleasure to return to private piano teaching. Thanks to video conferencing platforms, we are still able to connect from near and far to continue nurturing and honing our skills as pianists. And, although nothing quite compares to in-person instruction or performances, I can’t help but feel lucky that we are able to use technology in such innovative ways to keep the spirit of classical music alive and well throughout this pandemic.
I am currently accepting students ages 8 and up, of any level or background - total beginners, seasoned amateurs, collegiate level artists looking for extra guidance, or anyone in between - all are welcome.
I have been fortunate enough to study with some of the greatest pianists and educators of our time and aspire to combine their vast and formidable knowledge with my own experiences in the world of solo, orchestral, and collaborative piano. I feel these give me a unique perspective on teaching and music in general, and one that I am eager to share with my students.
If you find yourself intrigued, please don’t hesitate to reach out through the form on my contact page. I would be happy to discuss your personal goals and expectations, my own teaching philosophy and professional journey, and any questions you may have about the piano or piano lessons. We can also discuss the best ways to set up your computer or tablet for online lessons, external microphone and speaker suggestions for increased sound quality, and various other ways to improve your virtual piano lesson experience.
Due to current social distancing guidelines, all lessons are virtual at this time. When it is safe to do so, I will look forward to seeing students in person here in Berkeley, California.
